Outdoor Life magazine has selected Mountain Home as first of 200 best places for hunters and anglers to live. Outdoor Life says of Mountain Home:

"Leading Appeals: World-class fishing for trophy largemouth and striped bass, walleye, slab crappies and whopper trout in the White River and nearby Bull Shoals and Norfork lakes. Turkey, squirrels and whitetails- even timber ducks and black bear- occupy the Ozark National Forest"

La. Plans a Web-Based Culinary Trail

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Tourists hoping to eat their way through Louisiana may soon be able to plan their menus from cyberspace.

A public-private partnership on Wednesday unveiled Louisiana Culinary Trails, a Web-based tool still in the design stage that is designed to help visitors navigate the state's diverse eating ethic.

The program highlights Louisiana's culinary and cultural heritage, suggesting a series of "trails" but also allowing visitors to map their own food routes.

The Arkansas Tourism Development Act (Act 2308 of 2005) provides incentives for qualified new or expanding tourism facilities and attractions. The program applies to cultural or historical sites, recreational or entertainment facilities, areas of natural phenomenon or scenic beauty, theme parks, amusement parks, indoor or outdoor plays or music shows, botanical gardens, and cultural or educational centers.
