Disaster Relief Center Opens In Baxter CountyThe Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announce the opening of a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Baxter County, April 8. A DRC provides an opportunity for residents to meet face-to-face with representatives from state and federal agencies and find answers to questions they may have about the recovery process. The new Norfork DRC will serve victims of flooding from March and April. The location of the Baxter County DRC will be: Norfork River Resort The DRC opens Tuesday, April 8 and the hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice. Individuals can register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those who are hearing or speech-impaired. |
